  • Choosing virtual therapy is much more flexible since you can participate in your sessions remotely. This allows you to choose more hours that work for you based on your unique schedule and lifestyle. If you have a busy career, you might not always have time available for in-person therapy.

  • Many patients prefer virtual therapy because they can remain in the comfort of their own homes. You might feel more comfortable talking to your therapist from your living room as opposed to being in an office setting.

  • You’ll still be able to talk to your therapist face to face during virtual counseling. Using special software, a microphone, and a web camera, your therapist will be able to see you, and vice-versa.

  • Many studies show that choosing virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. In fact, some people claim that it helps them more since they’re able to communicate at their own pace and on their own time.

  • If you travel a lot, you’ll still have access when you choose virtual therapy. You can communicate with your counselor via a smartphone app, tablet, or any computer no matter where you are. You will also have more access to your therapist when you need it versus having to wait until your next in-person session.

  • Feel free to mix and match your therapy sessions based on your needs. You can have a few in-person meetings and schedule the rest virtually if you like to have a combination of the two.
